Around the UK, sports courts were locked and abandoned during the early weeks of Coronavirus response. Eerily quiet and still, their emptiness drew attention to the important part they play in the community feel of parks and suburbs, especially in London.
This series shows the courts as the were left locked and bare, as people snuck in and adapted their use, and as the government allowed them to be opened again, and community groups returned.
The courts have their own architectural aesthetic; their structures provide colours, shadows and create shapes, observable in the stillness.
